I was told I needed to remove and replace my ac compressor, the price for the compressor was $946.50. Which the dealer have one for $231.00 after tax. Also I was told I needed to change my brake fluid because it was green. And they wanted $249.76 which the dealer say I don’t need a fluid change at all. I told the guy Auto Pros say they never saw green brake fluid and it must be contaminated so I needed to change it ASAP. I will post a picture of the bottle of Mopar brake fluid, which is green fluid.. I was so upset after being charged $200 for a diagnostic and they tried to get me to pay for things I didn’t need.
We regret that you were not satisfied with our diagnostic findings regarding your A/C compressor. Our inspection determined that the compressor required replacement due to an internal failure at the clutch. While we understand that unexpected repairs can be frustrating, our responsibility is to accurately identify the root cause of the issue and provide you with the most reliable solution. After verifying your vehicle’s VIN, we confirmed that the OEM dealer compressor (Part #68477449AA) retails for $2,055 + tax. We recognize that pricing concerns can arise, but our expertise, quality of service, and use of reputable parts reflect our commitment to providing long-lasting repairs. Regarding your brake fluid, while some Mopar brake fluids do have a green tint, an excessively green hue can indicate copper contamination, which is a sign of fluid degradation in any make or model. If there was any miscommunication on this matter, we regret any confusion. However, our recommendations are based on industry standards, researchable data, and our professional experience in ensuring vehicle safety and performance. If you would like to further discuss our findings or review any details in person, we would be happy to assist you. Our priority is to provide honest, high-quality service that keeps you informed and your vehicle in optimal condition.
